Scunthorpe United pair Josh Walker and David Mirfin were victorious against Matty Whichelow’s Wycombe at the weekend, running out 4-1 winners.

The Iron triumphed with goals from Paul Reid and Jon Parkin as well as a brace from Andy Barcham.

Walker and Mirfin both started and got 90 minutes each under their belts for Alan Knill’s side who move out the relegation places.

Whichelow did not feature for the Chairboys and hasn’t since February 18.

Also in League One, Brentford and Adam Thompson were defeated, going down 2-1 at Yeovil Town.

The Northern Irish international got 89 minutes for the Bees.

Dagenham & Redbridge’s Jonathan Bond kept his second clean sheet for the League Two outfit, helping the Daggers to a 1-0 win over Bradford.

Bond, 19, has helped the east Londoners to seven points from his first three games.

In the Blue Square Premier, Chez Isaac and Tamworth were on the wrong side of a 3-0 scoreline against high-fliers Fleetwood.

Finally, Braintree Town winger Britt Assombalonga continued his unbeaten start to life in Essex with a 1-1 draw at Grimsby Town.

Noticed that Assombalonga got a brace of goals for Braintree last night… he looks like a right handful physically and has got some pace to him… a big prospect in my book.
