It’s two signings in one day for the Hornets, as they announce the signing of Serbian defender, Vujadin Savic, until the end of the season.

In addition to the signing of Wigan midfielder Ben Watson earlier on today, Vujadin Savic has agreed a move to Vicarage Road, having had a successful trial with the club recently.

Having the same nationality as the club’s head coach, it’s a possibility this is one of Slavisa’s signings, but most likely a Pozzo import.

Vujadin is the son of goal finder, Dusan Savic, and the centre back’s career kicked off at where his Dad’s also did, with Serbian SuperLiga champions, Red Star Belgrade in 2007.

Having enjoyed a three year spell there, he then moved on to French side Bordeaux for a rumoured fee of £1.3m, but only made eight appearances, scoring on the one occasion.

He spent most of his four year spell with the top division French side out on loan with both Dynamo Dresden and Arminia Bielefeld of Germany.

Savic made two appearances for Serbia U19s in 2008 and 2009, scoring one goal.

He also appeared for the U21s side from 2009 to 2012, appearing nine times and also scoring the once.

Along with new addition Ben Watson, Savic is also available for selection against Blackpool tomorrow.

With the club in search for a defender and two midfielders, they are still on the look out for an additional defender, despite the increment of the Serb.
