We want to know if you think McGugan should be allowed to train again with the team and possibly be introduced for the Blackpool clash this weekend, after having a slight injury crisis in the midfield.

So, next up at the Vic is a visit from Lee Clark’s bottom of the table, Blackpool, and heading into the clash there is a slight problem in the midfield area, availability wise.

Munari is a doubt after picking up a knock to his hamstring in the 5-0 win over Charlton last weekend, whilst fan favourite Almen Abdi is set to be ruled out for another Hornets game, still suffering from a knee injury.

Murray had surgery to his knee this week, and he will not be available for the clash, there isn’t an estimated time that he will return.

So the ‘natural’ central midfield options are, Tozser, Smith, Byers and McGugan.

Last week we saw Layun play the CM role, and then Anya dropping into it after he replaced the injured Munari in that role, with Pudil then covering the left flank.

Byers then came on for his first professional appearances and done okay, won the ball a few times but also gave it away, understandable being a young debutant though.

Since the departure of Guedioura, Watford are looking to bring in a few more midfielders, with the Hornets close to sealing a deal for Jay Spearing from Bolton and recently being linked with Wigan’s Ben Watson.

It’s unlikely we will seal a deal for a midfielder within the next twenty-four hours so we have a few options for this weekend.

With Tozser most likely being a definite starter, would you…..

Give young Byers and Smith a go in the midfield against bottom of the table Blackpool?

Stick Layun or Anya in the midfield, a role they both played for a spell in the Charlton game?

Bring McGugan back into the side?

Since returning from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday, he has been told along with a few other players by Jokanovic that they are no longer allowed to train with Watford.

But while we are weighing up moves for incoming midfielders to fill in that position of which we have limited options to, should the former Forest man be given a shot?

Fitness is obviously an issue, not training and so on, but is he worth a start from the bench?

Slavisa told the Watford Observer that he doesn’t want to use McGugan in the team, but would you give him a go or choose other options?

Or do you agree with Slavisa’s decision?

Let us know…

I think I would play Layun in the middle again as it worked quite well v charlton.
I wouldnt play Magoo, prob start Byers or Smith ( maybe a half each !).
Keep the 352 shape unless things go pear shaped.
If possible would like Vydra to get 30 mins or so , if he could just get a goal, I still feel he is gonna be a useful asset this season , got to stsrt Iggy and Troy though!
