Watford’s Premier League season concluded with a draw against Sunderland at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Quique Sanchez Flores’ final match as Watford boss ended in a two-two draw with Sunderland as the Hornets twice came from behind to claim a point.

Sunderland went ahead just ahead of the half time break when Jack Rodwell finished off a Jermain Lens cross but Sebastian Prodl headed Watford level shortly after the break.

Lens restored Sunderland’s lead a few minutes later before Troy Deeney made sure of a point just past the hour when scoring from the penalty spot, with Watford also having two-goals disallowed.

Flores’ departure, after a 13th place Premier League finish (and an FA Cup semi-final) wasn’t enough to keep him in charge with a seventh boss in four-years now sought!

Here’s a round up of the Premier League action from the other games played at the weekend….

These were the other results.

Sunday 15 May 2016
Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa
Chelsea 1-1 Leicester
Everton 3-0 Norwich
Man Utd A-A Bournemouth
Newcastle 5-1 Tottenham
Southampton 4-1 Crystal Palace
Stoke 2-1 West Ham
Swansea 1-1 Man City
Watford 2-2 Sunderland
West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

European finishes needed clarification on the final day but everything else was sorted.

Manchester City’s (one-one) draw at Swansea saw confirmed them as qualifying for the Champions League despite the Manchester United match with Bournemouth being abandoned due to a ‘suspect package’ being found.

This will be played on Tuesday, not that it’ll make a difference.

Arsenal’s (four-nil) win over Aston Villa saw them secure a runners up spot behind Champions Leicester (one-one) who ended up with a draw at Chelsea, with the Gunners ending second due to Tottenham (five-one) being thrashing at already relegated Newcastle.

Europa League football will come to Southampton (four-one) next season with a win over Crystal Palace booking that, which wasn’t the best of preparation for Palace’s FA Cup final meeting with Man United.
