Watford`s new kid off the Eastern Block, Tamas Priskin, has been named in the Championship Team of the Week by the Press Association.

The young Hungarian striker opened his goal account for this season with a cheeky double in the 3-0 win over Southampton and was a constant menace all afternoon at St Mary`s.

Even Aidy Boothroyd beamed “He`s worked hard, not sulked and has become an unsung hero for us?He’s done a lot of unnoticed work outside the box but sometimes a goal gets a player’s career going and he needs goals”.

So Priskin is paired up front with Cardiff`s Ross McCormack, who also hit twice in the Bluebird`s 2-0 win over Charlton and will be on the hunt for more goals at Vicarage Road tonight (Tuesday).

Strangely, the Hornets specialist penalty stopper Richard Lee – who kept out 2 spot kicks at St Marys to “earn Watford the points” – failed to make the Team of the Week with Doncaster`s Neil Sullivan getting the nod between the sticks.

The full Championship Team of the Week, w/c 20 October is:

Sullivan (Doncaster); Barker (Blackpool); Beevers (Sheff Wed); McCombe (Bristol City); Kalvenes (Burnley); Barazite (Derby); Watson (Sheff Wed); Green (Derby); Kightly (Wolves); Priskin (Watford); McCormack (Cardiff)
