According to the Daily Mail, former Hornet`s manager Brendan Rodgers could be about to take over at League One strugglers Milton Keynes Dons.

The franchise outfit are currently limping along outside the Play Off spots under the self-styled ‘guv`nor`, Paul Ince. Sitting in 8th place, nine points of the top six after a weekend defeat to Terry Skiverton`s Yeovil Town, Ince is apparently vulnerable to the chop.

Pete Winkleman and the Don`s board have evidently been impressed with Rodger`s destruction job at Reading where he managed to guide a Play Off-defeated side from the season before to a crèche fighting relegation the next. His replacement Brian McDermott has tidied up but the Don are looking to bring the Ulsterman to Stadium:MK should they give former Macclesfield and Blackburn gaffer Ince the bullet.

Rodgers has been out of work since before the end of 2009 after his ‘dream job` at the Madjeski turned sour and he left by ‘mutual consent` before whinging the The Sun about young British managers not getting a chance in England – perhaps the grass isn`t always greener Mr Rodgers!
