Robinson returning south?

Image for Robinson returning south?

Former Watford frontman Theo Robinson looks all set on a return south after seeing his Huddersfield hot streak turn sour.

Robinson, who left Vicarage Road in the summer for a reported £400K, has been the subject of Glory Hornet fans debate given Watford`s lightweight frontline but it appears his days are numbered even at Huddersfield.

Rumours ahead suggest he is being lined up for a cut price £175k deal to Millwall in THIS transfer window after failing to command a first team berth at the Galpharm Park and failing to settle in the grim north.

Young Theo left Watford under a bit of a cloud after he insisted he was “never given a chance” at Vicarage Road and after 7 goals in his first 8 games for Hudderfield (+ 2 hattricks in pre-season) his departure looked a bit of misjudgement.

Watford fans even started to wonder whether he could have been the answer to Malky Mackay`s goalscoring fears with Smithy on his way and the club desperate to clear out Duke Ellington?

However, he`s only found the net twice since (his last being from the bench in mid November) and now finds himself down the pecking order and out of the first team reckoning.

Yes he is lightening q uick but even the Huddersfield fans reckon he`s been found out at League One level, which should all but end the debate about whether he could cut it in the Championship. Or maybe not.
