After their first win in the Premier League, Watford travel to St James Park to face an out of form Newcastle United side.

Last weekend was the Hornets first win of the season, as they finally ended their goal drought which endured since the opening day.

Newcastle however, are in desperate need of a win, having not yet won a game this season.

They currently sit joint bottom of the Premier League, with just two points to their name.

Quotes From The Bosses

Watford boss Flores speaking to watfordfc.com: “We try to separate the win of the last result, but it is important for the morale of the players,’ the Spaniard said.

“We are really happy because we are working very hard as a team, we try to keep the same style and the same ideas.

“We need to be consistent and carry on with the balance, the players are very serious in their work and there`s no need to change.’

Newcastle boss Steve McClaren speaking to nufc.co.uk:

‘We’re still learning about each other and it’s a learning process but you need results and we need a reaction against Watford,’ the former Derby manager said.

‘We knew it would be a tough start. It’s going to take time to settle but on Saturday we have the opportunity to move on and get a win on the board.’

Newcastle United Team News:

The Magpies will be without both Steven Taylor and Paul Dummett, with the defensive duo having hamstring injuries.

Also, Cheick Tiote is ruled out due to a knee injury.

Player to watch: Papiss Cisse

Papiss Cisse has been out of touch this season, having only scored once for Newcastle this season, but no doubt in their clash with the Hornets, he and alongside Newcastle, will be looking to hit good form.

Watford Team News:

Deadline Day signings Victor Ibarbo, Adlene Guedioura and Obbi Oulare are all available for the Premier League tie, with them missing the clash against Swansea City last weekend, with only Victor Ibarbo making the bench and being unused.

Elsewhere, Miguel Britos continues to serve suspension, whilst Valon Behrami’s straight red card last weekend means he serves a three match ban as of today.

Player to watch: Odion Ighalo

Who else?!

The striker has had his chances in recent games, and last weekend he was there to hand the Hornets three points.

No doubt, he will be looking to pick up from where he left off.

Ref Watch:
