Roger East from Wiltshire, is the referee for Watford’s visit to Newcastle on Saturday.

This will be East’s first Premier League game this season, after taking charge of just three this season, with them coming from each of the league’s in the Football League.

His first game of the season he took charge of was in League Two as Portsmouth hosted Morecambe where he sent one player off and handed out five yellow cards.

Overall, East has handed eleven yellow cards this campaign.

His last game was Reading’s home demolition over Ipswich in the Championship, last Friday.

Having a look at East’s stats from last season, he was in charge of predominantly Premier League games, and he handed out over one-hundred and one yellow cards and five yellow cards, in thirty one games.

You’d have to go back to the 2012-13 season to look at the last Watford game East took charge of, as the Hornets travelled to Ipswich.

He also took charge of the reverse fixture that season.
