Pozzo: ‘Deal not concluded yet’

The Pozzo family have this afternoon re-iterated the fact that their takeover of Watford is as yet, still to be officially completed.

Releasing a statement through the Udinese official site, the Pozzo’s backed up Watford’s statement yesterday evening which declared that a deal had only been agreed ‘in principle’.

The finer points of the takeover and the exchange of contracts are very much yet to be completed.

A statement on the Udinese official site read as follows:

‘The Pozzo family wish to clarify that any news and rumours regarding the transfer of ownership of Watford FC should be considered premature at the moment, given that although there is concrete interest, the nature of the deal has not been concluded with both parties’ signatures on the contracts.’
