Jay DeMerit has blasted Everton striker Andy Johnson over the way he won his penalty in Saturday’s victory at Vicarage Road.

‘I have not seen the replay yet,’ said DeMerit. ‘I thought I hit him and the ball, which was why you saw the ball flying the other way.

‘I thought he made a meal of it as he does.
