Ross Jenkins’ loan spell with Plymouth Argyle could be set to end early after the midfielder returned to Watford for assessment on his groin injury.

The 21 year-old midfielder joined Plymouth at the end of September and is due to stay at Home Park until October 27.

However, having suffered a groin injury which has restricted him to just two appearances for Carl Fletcher’s side.

Speaking to This is Devon, Fletcher confirmed the news:

‘Under the terms of this particular emergency loan, the responsibility for a players’ medical well-being rests with the parent club,’ revealed the former Watford loanee.

‘Therefore, because Ross is injured, he has returned to Watford for assessment and the medical teams of both clubs will liaise as to where to go from here.’
