Darius Henderson is wanted by another club…

Watford striker Darius Henderson`s proposed move to Preston North End is on hold whilst the Lilywhites are on tour in the U.S.A. North End boss, Paul Simpson had this to say to the local paper: ‘There’s nothing going on at the moment.” The player who we have had a bid accepted for is continuing to train with his club while we are away.’

Watford and Preston are believed to have agreed a fee between £1.3 million and £1.4 million for the former Gillingham hitman and it is evident that Paul Simpson is keen to add to his striking options after star striker David Nugent completed his £6 million pound move to Portsmouth. Henderson is also a target of Sheffield Wednesday, as earlier reported on Vital Watford.

Despite managing just three goals last term, Henderson added sixteen to Watford`s total in the promotion season of 2005/200, making him their second highest scorer, and is seen as respected as a frequent contributor in the Championship.
