Ben Watson has signed a new contract with the club, they confirm.

The twenty-nine year old signed for Watford from Wigan in January, on a permanent deal until the end of the season, but has today put pen to paper on new contract which lasts for two more years, with an option for an extra year.

Wigan’s FA Cup winner made his debut against Blackpool, coming off the bench to play a part in the seven goal demolition half.

Since signing from the Latics, he has featured in nine games, starting in eight of them, and the former Crystal Palace midfielder has proved to be a key player in that midfield for Slavisa’s side.
