Head coach Quique Sanchez Flores has said that yesterday’s late defeat to Manchester City was tough to take given the performance Watford put in.

More than giving what they got, Watford kept the clean sheet going into the half time break and then got the luck many would argue they deserved as Aleksandar Kolarov netted an own goal to give them the advantage.

With City growing into the second half, eventually their efforts got the better of the back line and late goals from Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero saw them come from behind to take all three points on the day, and for Flores – well he was gutted – because he knew the performance of the side and the quality they had shown throughout the game deserved a lot more than nothing at full time.
