Left back Nathan Ake has been waxing lyrical about his first goal for the club, and he was pretty pleased by the victory over Liverpool today as well.

Speaking to the Official Site in his own post game press conference having scored his first professional goal on the day, to give Watford the early three minute lead, he admitted he’d been dreaming about opening his professional account and he knew it came in the perfect game.

‘I’ve been dreaming about this, and also to score against Liverpool it’s really nice for me personally. I didn’t know how to celebrate, if you saw my celebration it was really bad, but I was really happy.’

I think most will forgive the celebration, he can perfect that for number two which will hopefully follow sooner rather than later!

The win of course meant four on the spin for the club in the Premier League, and he knew how massive that was to everyone as well.

‘It feels really good and of course everyone is happy. I think we deserved it as well, we created chances, we defended well, especially in the first-half, so I’m really happy. It was really important to get an early lead, it gives you a boost and confidence. After that we kept pushing on and after the second goal we kept the pressure up and I think that helped. It was important to keep them off the ball and we did that. The second-half was a bit more difficult, the last 20 minutes or so, but after the third goal it was finished.’

The on loan Chelsea player also had plenty of words of praise for the home support once more, and he ended his interview by explaining.

‘Even at the start when we came on, all the stuff that was going on was really nice and the atmosphere was really good. They were really behind us, so we are really happy with that.’
