Watford youngsters Carl Stewart and Brandon Mason have both been giving their thoughts following FA Cup third round victory over Burton Albion last weekend.

With little to shout about in the Premier League of late as injuries, form and results piled against the club there was some cheer at Vicarage Road as goals from Christian Kabasele and Jerome Sinclair booked our place in the fourth round and returned a win.

With Mason getting the start in the game and already coming in for praise from head coach Walter Mazzarri in his post game press conference as covered early, Stewart also became the 60th Academy graduate to debut with his late substitute appearance in the game, so beginning with him he told the Official Site that having had a taste now he couldn’t wait for more in the future.

The 19 year old explained.

‘It`s something you dream about really. I didn`t think I’d be coming on so when I did come on it was a bit of a shock but I think the scariest part is the manager calling you and getting ready, but once you`re on the pitch it`s just normal. I can`t explain how hungry I am but I like the feeling and I want to keep having it.’

With Stewart being the third debutant in seven day, Mason too was a recent inclusion and Burton saw his first start where he got the 90 minutes and helped himself to an assist.

It’s been a good week for him obviously.

‘It`s been a dream to be honest. I`ve been thinking about this from the start of the season and how I wanted to be part of the first team. I`m finally getting the chance now thanks to the manager and I feel like I`m taking it. I just want to keep going.’
