Vital Watford readers voted Mark Yeates their ‘Man-of-the-Match’ in the defeat to Millwall on Tuesday night.

The Irishman, starting again after an impressive cameo in the Peterborough defeat, was powerless to help prevent another defeat as Watford went down 1-0, registering back-to-back defeats.

Yeates was the clear winner in the poll, picking up a whole 50% of your votes following Tuesday’s defeat in south London.

Coming second to Yeates was goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, who had been been relatively untroubled until the second period.

The experienced Spanish stopper was on-course for a clean sheet until Shaun Batt’s late winner, picking up 40 % of the public vote.

Finally, Troy Deeney and Cristian Battocchio tied for third place, each man picking up 5% as two of only four players to receive a single vote following another disappointing display.
