The series takes an about-turn to look at our loan player(s), in the latest instalment

As the season draws to a close, it`s time for players, managers and the relevant hierarchy to sit down and discuss the future of certain players. In this series Vital Watford look at the futures of those who are out of contract, out of favour, or only on-loan at Vicarage Road.

This week it`s the turn of Tomasz Kuszczak. Get involved by commenting below to let us know whether or not you agree or disagree.

Tomasz Kuszczak has been fantastic since arriving at the club, there`s no two ways about it. The calm, commanding presence that he has brought to our backline has no doubt impacted hugely on our impressive Spring run of form. On top of the basics he has brought some truly wondrous agility and reaction-saves to the party, stops at Leeds and at home to Hull in particular spring to mind.

It isn`t hard to second-guess the future of Kuszczak, because it isn`t at Vicarage Road. Sorry to dampen your spirits idealists, but I`m a realist and bigger clubs than us will have sat up and taken notice of the Pole`s sublime showing between the sticks.

Ipswich Town, who have managed the entire season without a regular number one are believed to be leading the chase but I do firmly believe that Kuszczak could do an equally impressive job in the Premier League, and for that reason I hope he doesn`t sell himself short.

A move to (hopefully) a significantly bigger club than Watford.

What a shame it will be to see him go.. As with Ben Foster a few years back, a top quality keeper makes such a difference. We have to find another GOOD replacement, I’m afraid Scot Loach was sadly lacking early this season – after showing great promise 2 years ago.
