The final instalment of the series discusses David Mirfin’s future in WD18

With the season now over for the ‘Orns, it`s time for players, managers and the relevant hierarchy to sit down and discuss the future of certain players. In this series Vital Watford look at the futures of those who are out of contract, out of favour, or only on-loan at Vicarage Road.

This week it`s the turn of David Mirfin. Get involved by commenting below to let us know whether or not you agree or disagree.

David Mirfin has never looked reliable, solid or even remotely a Championship defender this season, and for a bruising Yorkshire skinhead, that just isn`t on. The former Huddersfield and Scunthorpe man is back on loan with Scunny at present and you sense that that is his level.

On paper, the signing made sense, only Aidy Mariapp and Martin Taylor were senior centre-backs, but clearly Dyche has decided the 26 year-old is not to his liking anymore, having snapped up Nyron Nosworthy in January.

A return to Scunthorpe beckons…
