Aston Villa loanee Andi Weimann’s season looks to be over after he picked up a knock in yesterdays’s defeat by Leicester.

Speaking to the Watford Observer, Malky Mackay confirmed the news:

“Andi rolled his foot and it looks like there is a problem with the metatarsal area on the outside of the foot.

‘There is nothing we can really say on it until we get it scanned but it certainly looks like there is an area there that will keep him out for the next two weeks.’

Watford are ‘down to the bare bones’ for the last two games of the season with Weimann, Ross Jenkins, Matty Whichelow, Stephen McGinn, Michael Bryan and Tom Aldred all sidelined at present.

Mackay will be doubtless blooding a few youngsters in the final two games with just 15 senior outfield pro’s fit.
