“Ah Mushōbu 無勝負 !!!”

Watford could be heading for deadlock in their bid to sign Ipswich midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski after Ipswich shelved plans to do a loan swap deal with the Hornets.

Rumours had circled that Shumulikoski was being offered to the Hornets as part exchange in a possible loan move with an unknown Hornet (presumably either Lee Williamson or Marippa???) and Brendan Rodgers was especially keen on the Macedonian international who “can pass the ball and is a good size”.

Sadly though, Rodger`s ‘keenness` wasn`t exactly matched by that of the out of favour Tractor Boy who claimed he was “being forced to sign for Watford or QPR” whilst his heart wanted to sign on at play-off chasing Preston.

Oh, the heartache of it all – but we have to ask what`s so good about Deepdale anyway?

Now it transpires that everything might have fallen apart anyway with Ipswich confirming that they are no longer looking at bringing in their previous target from Watford.

The very likeable Jim Magilton told the press “We had a few injury concerns last week but they have cleared up so it`s not something we are looking to explore further”.

There is a faint chance that Shumulikoski could still get the nod to join Watford, mind you, after the Ipswich gaffer revealed that whilst he “won`t allow” Veliche to join a play-off chasing side he will consider offers!

Magilton added “I`ve told him that if the right club that suits us comes along for him on loan and he want to go and play games then we will see what we can do?”.

Still, with the player clearly dead set on not joining Watford for the rest of the season we won`t hold our breath waiting.
