Watford take on Premiership high flyers Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Football Association Challenge Cup at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Watford Team News:

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd will be forced to make several changes from the side that beat local rivals Luton Town on Monday. Ashley Young starts a three-game suspension after being sent off for violent conduct against Luton. Recent on-loan signing Chris Eagles is likely to be in the squad but it is thought that Paul Devlin will replace Young on the wing.

Full-back James Chambers and midfielder Matthew Spring serve one-game suspensions after both being booked in the 0-0 draw at Millwall, Boothroyd looks set to choose between Jordan Stewart and Jay DeMerit for the left-back slot. Midfielder Al Bangura may be out injured after sustaining a hip injury against Luton. Youngsters Toumani Diagouraga and Ben Gill are in contention to deputise.

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

Sam Allardyce?s men will be without a number of big names for the trip to Vicarage Road. Influential midfielder Kevin Nolan, forward Kevin Davies and former Real Madrid defender Ivan Campo are all suspended. El-Hadji Diouf, Abdoulaye Faye and Radhi Jaidi will all miss the cup-tie because of national duty in the African Nations Cup.

Gary Speed, Nicky Hunt and Henrik Pederson are all out injured but Jay Jay Okocha, who was granted permisson to join up with Nigeria after the cup-tie, looks set to start. Because of the amount of senior players unavailable, Allardyce looks set to include Academy Scholars in the squad to take on Watford.
