Watford turn down Mariappa offer

Watford have this afternoon turned down an initial bid for defender Adrian Mariappa, according to the Watford Observer.

It is understood that the Magpies made an opening offer for the Harrow-born centre-half this afternoon.

However, Watford dismissed the offer out of hand as it well below their valuation of the club’s vice-captain.
