Watford To Appeal After Angella Red

The Hornets will appeal against Angella’s red card, which he received in the 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Friday night, according to Sky Sports.

The Italian defender was sent off within twenty-six seconds of the tie between 1st vs 6th at the Goldsands, for a foul on Callum Wilson.

It was given after the striker chased through the Hornets’ defence, and Lee Probert gave the red after being hacked down by Angella, denying a goal scoring opportunity, however Cathcart’s position of the back line is proving to be the wrong decision from Probert.

If the appeal is turned down, Angella will miss the next three games against Blackburn, Brentford and Bolton, but a successful appeal will hopefully see him in action at Vicarage Road against Gary Bowyer’s Blackburn.

This is the second time that Angella has questionably been sent off this season, with the twenty-five year old receiving a second yellow against Reading after the ball hit his hand whilst on the floor.

Angella was sent off against Bournemouth on the South coast last January, after mistaken identity from the referee.
