Watford spent the 11th highest amount on agents` fees in the Championship last term, with an overall spend of £546,250.

The Hornets completed a total of 48 transactions, which included 22 new registrations, 13 contract updates, six contract cancellations and seven loans.

Owing to the Football League`s regulations, the loan signing of players from abroad count as full transfers, meaning none of Watford`s Udinese or Granada loanees were included in that figure of seven, which also includes outgoing loans too.

Watford signed Manuel Almunia, Fitz Hall and Fernando Forestieri on permanent contracts, whilst the loan deals for Neuton, Steve Leo Beleck, Daniel Pudil, Matej Vydra, Ikechi Anya, Almen Abdi, Marco Cassetti, Alex Geijo, Geoffrey Mujangia Bia, Cristian Battocchio, Joel Ekstrand and Jean-Alain Fanchone all counted as permanent signings.

Incoming loan deals included Nathaniel Chalobah and Matthew Briggs.

In total, Championship clubs in 2012/13 spent £18,567,305 on agents` fees last season, up from £18,046,180 in 2011/12.

The biggest spenders were Blackburn Rovers, who committed £3,538,034 on agents` fees last season.

Only one club in the division elected to not spend commit any money to agents – Blackpool.
