Hornets` from yesteryear will be taking on their Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs and Wimbledon counterparts in the London Masters at Wembley Arena on Sunday evening.

All-time appearance maker and record goalscorer Luther Blissett`s will spearhead Watford`s maiden Masters tournament.

“You never know until you get there,” he told the Watford Observer of his team`s chances in the competition. “It is about if they perform on the day, and it will be very serious, as it should be,” added the current Chesham United manager.

The popular centre forward will be joined in the nine-man squad by goalkeeper Les Cleevely, defenders Nigel Gibbs and Steve Terry, midfielders Gary Porter and Andy Hessenthaler, and forwards Steve Butler, Alex Inglethorpe and Jamie Moralee.

Other former Hornets that will be competing in the Sky-televised event are defender Marcus Gayle and forward Dean Holdsworth, both of who will be representing Wimbledon.

Each of the four teams will play each other once with the top two in the group playing- off in the regional final. The matches are eight minutes each way and only six players per team can be on the pitch at the same time. Former Premiership referees Jeff Winter and David Ellery will be officiating, and players will be banished to the sinbins for two minutes for yellow card offences.

Should the Golden Boys triumph in the London Masters they would progress to the national finals, which will see the winners of the eight regional events play each other at Birmingham`s National Indoor Arena on September 3.
