The fourth instalment of this summer’s Watford transfer Rumour Mill

After Thursday’s spate of Twitter announcements from the players, it’s been a quieter weekend for Watford supporters. That doesn’t mean the Rumour Mill doesn’t stop operating, though.

There’s one new name linked with the ‘Orns today and one older name which keeps cropping up.

Both players linked with a move to Vicarage Road are from Udinese and both come courtesy of the reliable Italian journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli.

The new name is Chilean international, Matias Campos Toro.

Campos Toro, 24, can play anywhere down the left-hand side and would be an ideal fit in Head Coach Gianfranco Zola’s 3-5-2 system employed as a wing-back.

The 5’9′ left-sider played just 80 minutes for the Zebrette first-team last season, spending time out on loan at Siena.

A more familiar name to Watford supporters is that of Udinese striker, Mathias Ranegie.

The 6’5′ Sweden international has been linked with a move to WD18 on-and-off all summer so far, but it is once again suggested that the powerful frontman could make the move in the near future.

Ranegie, 29, scored once in 20 Serie ‘A’ appearances last term – just three of those starts – though that goal came in the 2-1 defeat of Milan.

Watford have confirmed through the Official Site that signings will be announced once Football League registration has been confirmed.
