Giampaolo Pozzo says three Udinese players will join Watford, whilst Cristian Battocchio says he would like to return
With pre-season in Italy and England underway, it’s been a busy few days in the Watford Rumour Mill.
Hornet’s striker Troy Deeney has been working very hard on behalf of Watford supporters, using his Instagram and Twitter accounts to tweet photos of Marco Cassetti, Almen Abdi, Daniel Pudil and ex-Manchester United defender, Reece Brown, all of whom are in Italy training with the first-team.
The Watford Observer have also also confirmed that Joel Ekstrand and Ikechi Anya are with the rest of the squad on their training camp in northern Italy.
With Udinese beginning their preparations for the forthcoming Serie ‘A’ campaign yesterday, Giampaolo Pozzo used the Zebrette’s pre-season press conference to state that Diego Fabbrini, Gabriele Angella and Marco Davide Faraoni would all join Watford.
Vital Watford have previously brought you news of all of these potential signings.
Cristian Battocchio recently confirmed via Tutto Calciatori that he would like to return to WD18 this season.
‘I hope to come back to Watford,’ stated the Italian Under-20 international.
Battocchio continued: “Watford shirt received me very well. Club, supporters, everyone treated me kindly. And I`ll try to defend that shirt on the pitch the best I can, leaving inside it everything!”
“Of course it will be the everyone`s aim [to get promoted]. If I would remain at Watford, I’m sure we will do our best to bring Watford to Premier League.’
