It’s been a quiet first 11 days of the transfer window, but Watford have recently been linked with two more potential lower league diamonds.

According to This Is Devon Watford had representatives at ,Torquay United’s Plainmoor to cast their eyes over two Gull’s youngsters.

Striker Eliot Benyon was one of the players apparently catching the eye having scored 13 goals for United this season.

Benyon moved to Plainmoor from Bristol City in 2007 having previously been on loan at St Albans City and Crawley Town. Overall the 23 year-old has 47 in 94 career league starts.

The other player linked with a move to Vicarage Road is 20 year-old winger, Eunan O’Kane.

Formerly of Everton O’Kane joined the Gulls in January of last year on a free having been released by the Merseyside outfit and has made just 18 career league starts, scoring four times.

Certainly a winger and a striker would be high on the list of priorities this January and neither would break the bank however competition for signatures is stiff with Reading and Swindon also linked with the duo.
