Find out how our young guns are getting on away from Vicarage Road
It was a largely successful weekend away from WD18 for Watford’s loan clan with only one player suffering defeat.
Tamworth midfielder Chez Isaac was the unfortunate party as the Lambs went down 2-1 at Mansfield Town in the Blue Square Premier.
It’s been a tough start to life with the non-league outfit with Isaac tasting victory just twice in his nine games there.
Moving up the football pyramid, Dagenham & Redbridge loanee Jonathan Bond made his full Football League debut as the Daggers drew 0-0 at Plymouth.
Also in the Blue Square Premier, Braintree winger Britt Assomobalonga returned to action following suspension.
The Congo-born attacker got 90 minutes under his belt for the Essex outfit who beat strugglers Kettering 2-1.
The east London outfit claimed a point against their fellow relegation rivals in Bond’s first match since arriving at Victoria Road on a month’s loan.
Rene Gilmartin made his league debut for Crawley Town in a 1-1 draw at home to Morecambe.
The League Two high-fliers levelling through Scott Neilson.
In League One, Matt Whichelow was dropped from Wycombe’s matchday squad altogether.
Finally, Josh Walker & David Mirfin of Scunthorpe both got 90 minutes against Adam Thompson’s Brentford in a 0-0 draw.
Thompson was making his first start since returning to Griffin Park on-loan following a successful period earlier in the season.
In the non-leagues, Connor Smith and Wealdstone were victors over Cambridge United in the FA Trophy Quarter-Finals.
Stones, 2-1 winners also have Tommie Hoban on loan but the Irish youth cap didn’t feature.
Well done to all those involved this weekend up and down the football pyramid.
