It’s being reported this week that Watford are the latest club to express an interest in Nottingham Forest’s former Arsenal graduate Henri Lansbury.

It seems Lansbury’s future is in doubt every transfer window from a quick Google and Sky Sports are reporting that they understand Derby County have failed in a £2.5million offer for the 26 year old who will be out of contract next summer.

With that bid being rejected and Watford’s injury list well known, it seems Sky sources have latched on to the fact that he can speak to clubs in the January window over potential summer moves and of course a Premier League switch would be more rewarding that a Championship sideways move.

The fact he spent a year with us back in 2009/10 making 39 appearances with a return of five goals only helps the speculation, because otherwise there’s not a single piece of reliable information.

And it’s not like we’ve made a bid, apparently somebody has leaked to Sky we are ‘preparing’ a bid of our own.

Make of it what you will.
