Watford duo loaned to Wealdstone

Hornet’s youngsters Connor Smith and Britt Assombalonga have this afternoon joined non-league outfit Wealdstone on-loan until January 3.

The young pair become the latest academy graduates to tred the well-worn path to our local neighbours on a temporary basis. The likes of Gavin Massey, Liam Henderson, John-Joe O’Toole and Liam Henderson having all featured for the Stones in the past.

Smith, a Republic of Ireland U19 international and Assombalonga, rescued from the club’s coaching in the community initiative both made their debut’s toward the back end of last season.
