Watford and new head coach Javi Gracia have today confirmed his backroom team appointments.

Having been appointed the other day as Marco Silva’s replacement in the hotseat at Vicarage Road, Gracia has appointed four new members of staff to help him out on the training pitch.

Zigor Aranalde, Jesus Casas and Juan Solla come into the club as joint Assistant Coaches, and Inigo Arteaga comes in as Goalkeepering Coach.

Aranalde has good experience of the English game having played for Walsall, Sheffield Wednesday and Carlisle United during his playing days and the 44 year old has worked as a senior scout for Brighton and West Bromwich Albion, and has also spent time with Spanish side Albacete on their coaching staff.

Casas spent three years working as part of Luis Enrique’s coaching staff at Barcelona. The 44 year old was most recently on the staff of Cadiz, a club he featured for during his playing days.

42 year old Solla rejoins Gracia having worked alongside him at Cadiz, Villarreal B, Malaga and Rubin Kazan.

Arteaga, as Goalkeeping Coach, also rejoins Gracia having worked alongside him at Cadiz, Villarreal B, Olympiakos Volou, Kerkyra, Almeria, Osasuna, Malaga and Rubin Kazan. The 45 year old represented Real Sociedad, amongst others, during his own playing career.
