A deal for Liverpool’s Jerome Sinclair has now been finalised.

He’s become a Watford player, which is something Nathan Ake was last season with the Chelsea full back spending the next one with Bournemouth.

Sinclair turned down a new contract with Liverpool as he wanted to move onto pastures new to give himself the best chance of regular first-team football having struggled for football at Anfield since making his debut in 2012, when he became the clubs youngster debutant.

It was announced some weeks back Sinclair was coming to Watford but compensation had to be agreed.

Watford have now officially confirmed his arrival on a five-year deal with it thought we’ll play Liverpool around £4m for the 19-year-old who made six first-team appearances at his former club, which included his only goal in his first start for them in an FA Cup tie with Exeter in January.

This should be a good addition to the Watford squad, which Ake definitely was last season.

During his season at Vicarage Road the Dutch international made 28 appearances for us going on to claim our Young Player of the Year award before returning to Chelsea, who have agreed to another season-long loan deal with him going to Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
