Udinese’s Swiss-born Spanish forward Alex Geijo has today confirmed via Twitter that he is set to become the latest player to join the Hornet’s from Udine.
The 29 year-old confirmed the news via his Twitter account earlier today.
@GeijoAlex ‘Bueno pues ya esta, me voy al Watford ingles cedido por el Udinese por un año. El lunes viajo a Londres :-)) Con ganas de empezar ya !!’
That roughly translated says that the striker will sign on loan for a year, arriving in Watford on Monday.
Geijo, born in Geneva, is on the books at the Friuli-based club but has spent the last two seasons on-loan with Spanish outfit Granada.
Two seasons with Granada brought the 6’0 forward 26 strikes in 60 games before his imminent move to WD18.
During a 12 year professional career, Geijo has also turned out for La Liga outfits Malaga, Xerez, Levante and Racing Santander.
Welcome to Watford, Alex!
