Hornets winger Jobi McAnuff has been ruled out for this Saturday`s clash with Colchester after picking up a slight thigh strain in training, according to the Watford Observer.

Watford gaffer Aidy Boothroyd said of his £1.75m summer signing “I think he`s struggling for Saturday to be honest. I don`t want to risk him with a break coming up so we`ll try and get him back for the next game”.

That all means ‘no Jobi’ until Barnsley away on November 24th and the absence of McAnuff, who`s thigh pull forced him to also miss Tuesday`s win at Carrow Road, will leave the Good Ship Boothroyd`s squad a bit light of wide options.

VitalWatford wonder could we be about to see promising youngster Alex Campana as a benchwarmer at the weekend?

Campana would have caught the eye after he netted the Watford equaliser in last nights 1-1 reserve team draw with Charlton.
