Tommy edging closer to the Top 10

Watford midfielder Tommy Smith earned himself 46 points – the joint highest score of the week – in the latest Actim Index standings, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

Smith took his tally for the season to four goals with a brace in the 3-0 win against Wanderers and that helped him to his best score of the season so far and moved him up 13 places in the index.

The ex-Derby County player is now 12th in the overall standings and is the highest-ranked Watford player – four places above Lloyd Doyley who scored 16 points for his part in the Wolves victory.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
