Phew! That was close – Watford`s clash with Scunthorpe is ON!!!

Fears that the Hornets were about to face their 3rd postponement on the bounce – following an early inspection that ruled the Glanford Park pitch a bit too frosty – have thankfully been put to bed after ref David Webb confirmed it was playable at 11am.

GET IN!

Apparently, Scunnie has been sunny enough in the last couple of hours to defrost several areas of the pitch and get the game on – or maybe it was given a helping hand by the “warmth people create [at Glanford Park]” – as Malky hinted at pre-match?!?

The Hornets ‘fficial homepage said that our Braveheart boss had ‘his fingers tightly crossed` and the Scunthorpe site stated the Iron were ‘reasonably optimistic’ so – facing the prospect of another weekend without Watford footie – we can all be thankful that David Webb gave the pitch a chance to recover.

After all, as Don Cowie mentioned yesterday “[a postponement] was the last thing we all wanted”…

Now, just like Malky, here`s “hoping we come come back to some normality with the weather now“!!!
