However the expectancy is Obbi Oulare will be leaving Watford this summer?

I do recall various links with the likes of Celtic, several Championship clubs and even some at Premier League level last season with scouts reportedly watching him during U21 matches with the view to making a move for him.

Nothing came of it and he remained at Watford last season following a disappointing campaign, which came off the back of his £6m signing by former Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores.

Het Nieuwsblad reports Celtic, and an unnamed Championship club, have made bids for the former Club Brugge striker but Oulare isn’t interested as he’s aiming for a return to Belgium or a club in Holland.

The 20-year-old is quoted by Het Nieuwsblad as saying he knows he needs to be ‘more professional’ and will need to ‘give 100%’ all of the time, which is pretty much (or should be) a given!

A return to the Low Countries is now his aim.

‘I changed my way of thinking – I realised I had to become more professional and that I should always give 100 per cent, whatever the circumstances. I hope now to find a club in Belgium or the Netherlands that will allow me to find the rhythm and continue to develop.’

During his time with Watford so far, remembering this isn’t over as it isn’t certain he’ll get this exit he desires, he was limited to just two appearances in the Premier League from the substitutes bench and didn’t get much more action in the Development Squad either!

Assuming he does leave Vicarage Road this summer we would expect to take quite a hit on the amount paid….
