The last stop on the Premier League season for Watford saw us head to West Brom on Saturday.

After this game at the Hawthorns, won one-nil thanks to two Heurelho Gomes penalty saves, we take a look at some stats for what they’re worth!

Therefore statistically speaking….

In making his two penalty saves Gomes became the first ‘keeper to save two spot kicks in the Premier League in two different matches, doing this firstly for Spurs when saving two from Darren Bent for Sunderland then of course the two from Saido Berahino at the weekend.

Berahino, in missing these two (then again they were Gomes saves, not misses!), became the fourth player to miss two penalties in a Premier League match.

The England international had scored all five of his previously penalties for West Brom.

Watford’s six win away from Vicarage Road this season meant we’ve now won more away this season than we did in our previous two Premier League seasons added together!

Goals haven’t been scored too freely with Ben Watson’s winner at the weekend taking him to two for the season with him only our third player to have scored more than one for us in the Premier League this term.

Finishing on a positive note we’ve now beaten West Brom for the first time in 16-matches with this win, like the last we managed against them in 1995, a one-nil at the Hawthorns.
