Watford are not expecting to be without striker Marvin Sordell for too long, according to Sean Dyche.

The England U21 forward came off after 37 minutes of the Doncaster Rovers clash today, with Craig Beattie making his debut in place of him.

Speaking to The Watford Observer, Dyche confirmed that the injury was not serious:

“We hope it is a minor one as he has just tweaked his ankle. We will see how it settles down but we don’t think it is that serious.”

Whether or not Sordell is a doubt for Tuesday remains to be seen, but at least Watford have plenty of striking options if the club’s top-scorer does miss out.
