Sordell and Loach earn call-ups

After an extremely impressive debut season in professional football, Hornet’s forward Marvin Sordell has today earnt international recognition.

The 19 year-old striker has earned his first England U20 call today from head coach, Brian Eastwick.

With 13 goals for the ‘Orns already this season the form of the former Fulham youngster has been way above what would have been expected of him ahead of the season.

England’s U20’s take on their French counterparts on February 9 at the home of Shrewsbury Town.

Also included is former Watford loanee, Jordon Mutch.

In other international news, goalkeeper Scott Loach has once again been selected by Three Lions U21 coach, Stuart Pearce.

Loach will face Italy in a friendly next Tuesday, the first of three warm-up clashes before the European Championships this Summer.

England’s U21 side will also face Denmark and Iceland later this year.
