Left back Matt Sadler has only made 4 appearances for Watford in the Championship but his performances since joining the Hornets have already earnt him league recognition.

The £750k January signing from Birmingham rightly deserved to be named in the Football Leagues ‘Championship Team of the Week` after playing a key role in ensuring Watford became the first away team to win at Ipswich for more than 11 months.

Sadler, who cited a desire to play first team football as his motivation to drop down a division, has enjoyed an unbeaten league start with Watford and contributed towards a +5 goal difference in the last 4 games, thanks to clean sheets v Leicester and Wolves.

He is joined in this week`s Championship Team of the Week by Kenny (Sheff Utd), Ricketts (Hull), Cort (Stoke), St Ledger (PNE), Sproule (Bristol City), Fotherington (Norwich), Clemence (Leicester), Lawrence (Stoke), Agyemang (QPR), Evans (Norwich).
