Here are a few of this week’s Watford transfer rumours, a few players which you probably wouldn’t have even dreamed of coming to the club a few years ago!

Paulinho

First up in the Rumour Mill today, is Watford being linked with a move for Spurs midfielder, Paulinho.

The Brazilian hasn’t had the best of times since signing for Spurs in 2013 for £17m from Brazilian side Corinthians, but the Daily Mail are reporting that the Hornets are looking to secure the twenty-six year old on loan.

It was reported earlier on this week by Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, that the Hornets did make contact with Spurs over the transfer of Paulinho.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic

It’s Sky Sports Italia understanding that Inter midfielder, Zdravko Kuzmanovic, is set to sign for Watford, after reports suggesting he is leaving the Italian top dogs.

The Serbian international signed for Inter back in 2013 from VfB Stuttgart, and has made fifty-five appearances in all competitions, just scoring the once.

The twenty-seven year old has made fifty appearances for Serbia since 2007, scoring six goals, whilst having spells at FC Basel and Fiorentina.

Joey Barton

Watford are 6/4 favourites to sign Joey Barton, after his release from QPR, but there is no official reports claiming that the Hornets are interested or are set to sign the thirty-five year old.

Barton has been most recently linked with a move to Leeds United, however, with the Yorkshire Evening Post claiming that Barton was on no less than £65,000p/w at QPR, it was unlikely he would of taken a massive wage cut to suit Leeds’ wage budget, so would the Pozzo’s spend that sort of wages on Barton?
