Former Watford Head of Football Business Ross Wilson is expected to join Championship rivals, Huddersfield Town.

The Scot, who only joined the Hornets from Falkirk last summer, has been moved on by the club after the appointment of Gian Luca Nani in a role very similar to his own.

Nani arrived with Gianfranco Zola as the club’s new ‘Technical Director’, essentially someone who would identify and help recruit new members of the playing staff – a role Wilson already fulfilled.

Wilson though, looks set to move to Yorkshire to join Huddersfield Town in a similar role after interest earlier in the year from Derby County.

The legacy of Wilson’s sole year at the head of the club’s recruitment policy can be seen in a number of players still on the club’s books.
