Reading latest to be linked with Mariappa

Centre-back Adrian Mariappa is being linked with a move to newly-promoted Premier League outfit, Reading.

The Harrow-born defender has been heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Road this summer with Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic showing serious interest in January.

However, according to our good friends at Vital Reading, Mariappa was linked with a move to the Madejski Stadium by The Sun this week.

Twenty five year-old Mariappa of course had a sterling season in the Hornet’s backline, securing both the Watford Observer Player of the Season title, as well as the Player’s Player of the Season gong to boot.

If nothing else, all this interest should spark a bidding war and drive his price up if he is destined to leave WD18 this summer!
