Daniel Pudil looks like he has completed a move to Sheffield Wednesday, confirming the switch on his Instagram.

According to Sky Sources earlier, Daniel Pudil was set to complete a season long loan move to the Championship outfit, and it looks like a done deal, after Pudil posted a picture of him next to the Sheffield Wednesday badge, along with a message.

The message read, ‘I would like to thank all the fans and the players Watford FC for a wonderful three years at this club. I was honored to be part of a club. And now begins a new stage, hopefully to a successful end… Sheffield Wednesday… I am happy that I can be in this great club….’

The Czech international was one of many Pozzo imports in 2012, as he joined the Hornets on a season long loan from overseas brothers, Granada.

He was utilized in Zola’s squad in a vast majority of his first season, making over thirty-five appearances and scoring one goal, making his debut in the second game of the season in that last minute 1-0 loss to Ipswich Town.

His first goal came on New Year’s Day in the 2012-13 season against Charlton Athletic at home, which opened the scoring in a 4-3 defeat.

Despite narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League, he joined many other’s in penning permanent contracts with Watford, as he signed a four year contract in July 2013.

Pudil made just under one hundred appearances for the Hornets, scoring two goals overall, and now his time looks set to come to an end, as the Owls will no doubt look to secure the services of the out of favour twenty-nine year old on a permanent basis, joining former Watford man, Lewis McGugan.

Since being called up to play for the Czech Republic first team in 2007, Pudil has made twenty-seven appearances, scoring one goal.

If Sheffield Wednesday fans are unsure on what sort of player they’re getting their hands on, then I think it’s fair to say that most Watford fans will agree that Pudil gives more than 100% in every game, and has proven to be a solid Championship defender after his first three seasons in the challenging league.

Alongside his defensive work, he can get into very good attacking positions and can be very creative, with a good cross he has on him, and the amount of goals he has scored should not judge his overall stature of the player he is.

One thing which everyone loves about Pudil is his passion, he loves every club he plays for and has played for and will be as happy as the fans with every win and goal scored.

It get’s better for the Owls faithful as Sky Sources are also reporting that Fernando Forestieri is on the verge of signing for them, after the Hornets accepted a bid in the region of £3m for the Italian’s services.
