Watford`s latest signing; six-times Estonian Football of the year Mart Poom has revealed the reasons behind his move from Arsenal to Watford. “I had one year left on my Arsenal contract, but I was effectively third-choice goalkeeper and I was wasn’t getting enough playing time. I still have ambitions to play regularly.’ Poom told the BBC.

Having arrived from a side where he was down in the pecking order of goalkeepers, Poom will be looking forward to getting his chance to play regularly again. But, as an alternative motivation, Poom will be hoping to see Watford lining up alongside Derby and Sunderland next season, preferably in the Premiership.

Watford fans should get their first opportunity to see the Estonian in action when England take on his Estonian side in a vital European Championships Qualifier.
