Young centre-half Eddie Oshodi has been allowed to move out on loan to join League One side Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 18 year old will link up with John Still’s third-tier struggler’s until the New Year in order to gain some invaluable first-team experience.

A first-year professional, Oshodi only made his Hornet’s debut last season due to a spate of injuries at home to Coventry City and has been on the bench a handful of time since.

Oshodi has also represented both the England U17 and U19 sides.

Manager Malky Mackay told the Watford Observer

“He needs to continue his progression and hopefully play games like Rob Kiernan (at Bradford City) and Tom Aldred (at Stockport County) are doing.

It is good to get him out so he can gain some experience.”

Good luck Eddie!
